State Bank of India (SBI) Foundation, as part of its Platinum Jubilee celebrations, has announced the ‘SBI Platinum Jubilee ASHA Scholarship 2025’. This is a significant step towards paving the way for education for talented and deserving students of the country.
Under this scheme, students studying from class 9 to postgraduate level, and those who wish to pursue higher education abroad, will be eligible for scholarships of up to ₹20 lakh.
This massive scholarship scheme of SBI Foundation aims to support the dreams of talented students from economically backward backgrounds. This facility will help everyone, from school education to students studying in prestigious institutions like IITs, IIMs.
Students from class 9 to 12 will be given a maximum scholarship of ₹15,000 per year.
Students studying in NIRF recognized institutions at the graduate level will be given a scholarship of up to ₹75,000 per year.
Students studying in NIRF recognized colleges at the postgraduate level will also be provided a scholarship of up to ₹2,50,000 per year.
Students studying at IITs are especially eligible for scholarships of up to ₹2,00,000 per year.
IIM students are given a higher amount of assistance, with scholarships of up to ₹5,00,000 per year available.
Students practicing in the medical field are provided with assistance of up to ₹4,50,000 per year.
Similarly, SC/ST students studying abroad are given scholarships of up to ₹20 lakh as a special incentive.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicant must be an Indian citizen.
- Must have secured at least 75% marks or 7.0 CGPA in the previous academic year.
- Income Limit:
- For school students (Class 9-12): Annual family income should not exceed ₹3 lakh.
- For college and other higher education students: Annual family income should not exceed ₹6 lakh.
- For SC/ST students, 10% relaxation in marks will be given.
