Educational Qualification
FDA – First Division Assistant:
Candidates generally need a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised university or an equivalent qualification prescribed for the particular post.
SDA – Second Division Assistant:
Candidates generally need 2nd PUC / Class 12 or an equivalent qualification. Recognised equivalent qualifications may include CBSE/ICSE Class 12, NIOS and other qualifications prescribed in the notification.
Age Limit
- Minimum: 18 years
- General Merit: Up to 40 years
- 2A, 2B, 3A & 3B: Up to 43 years
- SC, ST & Category-1: Up to 45 years
The 2026 recruitment includes a one-time age relaxation, subject to the notification’s conditions.
Application Fee
- GM, 2A, 2B, 3A & 3B: ₹750
- SC, ST, Category-1, Ex-Servicemen & Third Gender: ₹500
- PwD: ₹250
Selection Process
The selection process includes:
- Written/Competitive Examination
- Kannada Language Test, wherever applicable
- Document Verification
- Final selection based on the applicable recruitment rules and merit.
Exam Pattern
The reported examination scheme includes:
- Compulsory Kannada: 150 marks
- General English / General Kannada: 100 marks
- General Knowledge: 100 marks
- Negative marking: 0.25 mark for each wrong answer.
