The state government’s Social Welfare Department has given great good news to Scheduled Caste (SC) students, inviting online applications from students who pass their first attempt in post-matriculation courses for the 2026-27 academic year to receive incentive money.
The government is providing this financial assistance to Scheduled Caste students to encourage education. Eligible students who have studied any post-matriculation course including PUC, Diploma, Degree, Post-graduate degree and have passed all the subjects in their first attempt in the academic year 2026-27 are eligible to apply for this incentive.
How to apply?
Eligible students have to apply online only through the official website of the Social Welfare Department. The department has clarified that applications submitted through any other source or by visiting the office in person will not be considered. Students can directly submit their application using this link https://swdservices.karnataka.gov.in/PrizeMoneyClientApp/register.
Required documents
Before applying, students must have the following documents:
- Marksheet: Official marksheet of the previous class or course to confirm that they have passed in the first attempt.
- Caste and Income Certificate: Current and valid Scheduled Caste Certificate and Income Certificate.
- Aadhaar Linked Bank Account: As the incentive amount will be directly credited to the beneficiary’s account through DBT, it is mandatory to provide the bank account number linked with the Aadhaar number.
