Bhagyalakshmi bond: How to get money from `Bhagyalakshmi Bond’? Here is complete information

The following is detailed information about the steps to be followed and required documents for girls registered under the Karnataka Government’s ambitious ‘Bhagyalakshmi’ scheme to receive up to Rs 1 lakh after the bond maturity period.

Important conditions to be met for applying:

Age: To get the bond money, the girl child must have completed 18 years of age.

Education: The child must have completed education up to at least 8th standard.

Prohibition of child marriage: The child should not be married before the age of 18.

Child labor: The child should not be involved in any child labor activity.

Required documents:

Original Bhagyalakshmi Bond: In case the bond is lost, a copy of it and a self-declaration letter must be submitted.

Aadhaar Card: The child’s Aadhaar card is mandatory. The name on the bond and the Aadhaar name must be the same.

Parents’ Aadhaar: Aadhaar card copies of the parents are required.

Photographs: 3-4 passport size photos of the child.

Bank Account: Details of the bank account in the child’s name or a joint account with the parents.

Educational Certificate: Educational certificate up to 8th standard obtained from the school attended.

Birth Certificate: The child’s birth certificate is mandatory.

How to apply:

Or they can directly visit the Taluk-level Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) office and get the ‘Maturity Claim Form’, fill it and submit it.

All the above-mentioned documents should be attached with the application and a self-declaration form should be signed.

When will the money be deposited?

If all the documents are correct after submitting the application, the money will be directly deposited in the beneficiary’s bank account within approximately 1 to 2 months after the approval of the officials.

Note: If the child dies before completing 18 years of age, this money will not be available. However, if the child dies after completing 18 years of age, the parents will be allowed to get this facility. If anyone tries to get money by giving false information, legal action will be taken.
