The Department of Horticulture has invited applications from farmers who want to grow new horticulture crops under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme for the current year.

Horticulture crops such as betel nut, coconut, mango, sapota, sibe, tissue plantain, papaya, curry, pepper, cocoa, violet, custard apple, dragon fruit, jasmine, butter, fruit, jackfruit, rose etc. can be applied under this scheme.

Important dates

The application can be submitted to the office of the Senior Assistant Director of Horticulture (GP) or to the respective Gram Panchayat by December 30.
