GOOD NEWS: Good news for the `SC-ST’ community from the state government: Applications invited for free tourism training

The Department of Tourism has organized a skill development training program in the field of tourism and hospitality for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, and applications have been invited from interested candidates.

This training is being conducted in Bangalore and Mysore districts through the hospitality sector organizations of the Central and State Governments, such as IHM and FCI. Candidates between the ages of 20 and 45 can apply for the training.

The selected candidates will be provided with free training along with food, accommodation and incentive and first priority will be given to the candidates who apply first.

Interested candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes of the district have been informed to apply on the Tourism Department website: karnatakatourism.org, Seva Sindhu Portal: sevasindhu.karnataka.gov.in and Bapuji Seva Kendra: :bsk.karnataka.gov.in.

Training Details: Candidates who want to get food and soft drink distribution training should have passed at least 10th class. For room management training, they should have passed at least 5th class. These two trainings will be given for a period of 3 months and for various food preparation training, they should have passed at least 8th training. This training will be given for a period of 4 months.
