In the current year (2025-26), agricultural machinery is available at a 50% discount to general category farmers under the Agricultural Mechanization and Agricultural Produce Processing Program.
Interested farmers are requested to visit the Farmers Contact Center in their area and obtain a free application form from the Farmers Contact Center and submit their application along with the following documents: RTC, Xerox of Aadhaar card, Xerox of bank passbook, one photograph, and a non-printed document of Rs. 100 to avail the agricultural machinery available in the department.
The Somwarpet Taluk Assistant Director of Agriculture has requested farmers of Somwarpet and Kushalnagar taluks to submit applications to the respective Hobli Raitha Sampark Kendras to get agricultural equipment such as power tiller, cultivator, rotavator, MBplow, disc plough, weeding machine, weed remover, diesel pump set, power sprayer, fodder cutting machine, paddy threshing machine, paddy harvesting machine, sorghum threshing machine, agricultural product processing machines such as ragi cleaning machine, flour making machine, chilli grinding machine and various types of oil mills at a subsidy of 50%.
