Azim Premji Foundation Scholarship for 2.5 lakh girl students; How to apply?

The Azim Premji Foundation, led by Azim Premji, has decided to provide scholarships to 2.5 lakh girls in the year 2025-26. Around Rs 2,250 crore will be provided to girl students across the country, including Karnataka.

It has been decided to provide scholarships. Students can apply online and get scholarships.

“The Azim Premji Foundation had provided scholarships to more than 25,000 girl students from Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Jharkhand in the 2024-25 academic year. This time the scholarship scheme has been extended to 18 states including Karnataka. Girls who have passed 10th and 12th standard and are pursuing their next level of education will get scholarships,” said Anurag Behar, CEO of the foundation.

Who can apply?
“Those who have studied in government schools and colleges in urban and rural areas, schools run by BBMP and local bodies can apply for the scholarship. Talented students studying in diploma and degree colleges run by government and recognized educational institutions will get the facility. Students from some private institutions on the list of higher educational institutions will also be considered. Rs 2,250 crore has been allocated for three years at the rate of Rs 750 crore per year. Each student will be given Rs 30,000 every year until the completion of their course. This money will be directly deposited in the account of the students,” he said.

Application submission begins in September
“Application submission will begin in September of this year. Students seeking admission to various degree courses including diploma and engineering can apply from September 1. The application submission link will be released on the Azim Premji Foundation website. Applications can be submitted through it,” he said.
