Educational Qualification
Candidates must have the following qualifications to apply for the post of Second Class Assistant in the Karnataka High Court:
- Candidates should have a degree in Science, Arts, Commerce, Business Management, Computer Applications or Business Administration from a recognized university.
- Candidates belonging to General Category and Other Backward Classes should have secured at least 55% marks in their degree.
- Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe should have secured at least 50% marks in their degree.
- Along with this, candidates should have knowledge of computer management.
Age Limit & Age Relaxation
The minimum age of the candidates applying for the post should be 18 years. The maximum age limit details are as follows:
- For general merit candidates: 35 years + 5 years relaxation = 40 years
- For category 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B candidates: 38 years + 5 years relaxation = 43 years
- For Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Category-1 candidates: 40 years + 5 years relaxation = 45 years
Special Note: As per the government order, a one-time age relaxation of 5 years has been given to all categories of candidates.
Salary scale
Candidates selected for the post of Second Class Assistant (SDA) will be given a pay scale ranging from ₹25,500 to ₹81,100 (Level 4) and other allowances as per rules.

- For General Category, Category 2a, 2b, 3a, 3b candidates: ₹350
- For Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Category-1 and Disabled candidates: ₹200
