Under the Raitha Siri Yojana, grain growers will get an incentive of Rs. 10,000 per hectare (up to a maximum of 2 hectares). The scheme is designed to expand grain crops and increase farmers’ income, and the subsidy is provided through direct cash transfer.
In order to expand the cereal area of the state, from 2019-20, farmers cultivating traditional cereals like Navane, Haraka Same, Korale, Baragu and Oodalu crops have been given incentives through Direct Cash Transfer (DBT) at the rate of Rs. 10000/- per hectare, limited to a maximum of two hectares, on the basis of crop survey.
With the aim of encouraging the processing of cereals, a subsidy of 50% on the total cost of machinery or up to a maximum of Rs. 10.00 lakhs has been provided for the processing, value addition, classification, packing and branding machinery of cereals.
