The Government of India has officially released the updated list of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Rural 2025. This scheme, which comes under the Ministry of Rural Development, was the Indira Awas Yojana that was implemented in 2016.
It has been renamed and the scheme has been launched.
The scheme aims to provide safe, permanent or permanent houses to the economically weaker sections of the villages. It is a flagship scheme that provides financial assistance of up to Rs. 1.2 lakh per family in plain areas and up to Rs. 1.3 lakh in hilly areas.
Key features of the scheme
Since its inception, the scheme has sanctioned more than Rs. 3 crore houses. It aims to complete 2.95 crore houses in line with the government’s commitment of Housing for All, which was launched by 2024.
Awas App Mobile Integration
A user-friendly Android application has been developed for geo-tagging and grievance redressal of under-construction houses to check their actual condition, and information on each can be found here.
Eligibility and Application Procedure
The government follows these criteria to be eligible for the PMAY-G scheme. It strictly follows these criteria.
- Must reside in a rural area.
- Those who do not have their own pucca house
- Must belong to SC/ST, OBC, Minority or EWS categories or be landless labourers.
Based on all these factors, a list of beneficiaries will be prepared. If your name is not in this list, do this. You can apply through the portal or CSC with your Aadhaar card document.
You can apply with BPL card, SECC proof, bank details, government details i.e. Aadhar card documents. It is completely free and approvals are annual.
How to check name?
- You can check your name in the beneficiary list online based on your name without registration number. You can also check whether your name is in the beneficiary list or not on mobile. Here is the official website details, visit pmayg.nic.in and check.
- Then click on the Stakeholders section and search for the beneficiary list
- If you do not have the registration number, select advanced search
- Select your state, district, block and village from the drop down menu,
- Enter the captcha and click submit, you can get the sanction status and installment information of the complete beneficiary list of your village.
