Just raise chickens! Government subsidy of up to ₹25 lakh – apply like this

Poultry farming: Under the National Livestock Mission, poultry farming is now getting 50% subsidy from the government, up to a maximum of ₹25 lakh. It doesn’t matter if your own money is low, you can easily start your poultry farm with the help of bank loan + government subsidy

This scheme is available to all farmers + self-help groups + young entrepreneurs + those who are doing new startups.

Why is the government providing subsidies?

  • This is not a direct cash payment.

  • NGOs and private organizations

Documents required for application

  • Aadhaar card
  • PAN card
  • Land record/lease agreement
  • Bank account details
  • Detailed project report (DPR)
  • Certificate of training (Bonus if any!)

How to submit the application? (Online Process)

  • Step 1 Open the official portal → https://nlm.udyamimitra.in/
  • Step 2 Register as a new user
  • Step 3 Select “Poultry Development” project
  • Step 4 Enter your project details (number of chickens, shed, cost)
  • Step 5 Upload required documents
  • Step 6 Submit application → State verification
  • Step 7 Recommendation followed by bank loan/finance approval
  • Step 8 Start the project → After 25% expenditure → Grant release
