Good news for the farmers of Ballari district! The Horticulture Department has invited applications for distribution of completely free vegetable seed kits to farmers under the KKRDB scheme. The main objective of this scheme is to increase the income of farmers. It is also to promote the use of nutritious vegetables in rural families and help in obtaining higher yields through good quality seeds. Read the article till the end to find out.

Each kit contains: High quality hybrid vegetable seeds like tomato, brinjal, chilli, saute, bindi, betel nut etc. (Each kit is worth around ₹1,000 – ₹1,500)
Who can apply? (Eligibility)
- Scheduled Caste (SC) or Scheduled Tribe (ST) farmers
- Resident of Bellary / Kurugodu / Kampli taluk
- Must be ready to grow vegetables on own / rented land
- Must be Aadhaar linked bank account in their name
- If you have received the kit from the same scheme last year, you will not get it this time
