To ensure the safety of women and children and to protect the environment by providing toilets in every household, the Central Government has implemented the Free Toilet Scheme 3.0. Under this scheme, poor and needy families can apply for toilets.
The Central Government will provide financial assistance of Rs. 12,000 to the eligible beneficiaries.
Benefits of the scheme:
- The applicant must be a permanent resident of India.
- Must not have had any toilet in the past.
- The age of the woman must be more than 18 years.
- The annual income of the family must be less than Rs. 2.5 lakh.
- Women must have a bank account.
Documents required for application:
- Passport size photo
- Signature
- Ration card
- Residence certificate
- Mobile number
- Aadhaar card
- Email ID
- PAN card
- Bank passbook copy
- Photo of the toilet construction site
How to Apply:
Online: Visit https://swachhbharatmission.ddws.gov.in/ and register on the Application Form For IHHL Dashboard. Receive OTP, sign in and apply. After the officials conduct the house inspection, Rs. 12,000 will be transferred directly to the woman’s bank account. A photo of the toilet construction should be sent.
Offline: You can apply by visiting the Gram Panchayat or Block Development Office, submitting the necessary documents.
