Kotak Kanya Scholarship 2025: Kotak Kanya Scholarship is a part of the CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) scheme of Kotak Mahindra Group and Kotak Education Foundation. The main objective of this scheme is to help talented young women from economically backward families to pursue their higher education comfortably.
This is not an ordinary scholarship. A scholarship of Rs. 1.5 lakh is given every year to young women who face financial constraints for their professional degree courses.
The main objective of the scholarship
- To empower talented young women from economically backward backgrounds to achieve well-being in life through employment.
- To encourage them to pursue professional degree courses in science, engineering, medicine, law, design, architecture etc. in the best institutions of India.
- To strengthen women empowerment by providing equal educational opportunities.
Who is eligible for this scholarship?
The following eligibility criteria are mandatory to apply for this scholarship:
- The candidate can be a girl from any part of India.
- The candidate must have secured at least 75% marks or equivalent CGPA in class 12th.
- The annual family income should be less than Rs. 6 lakh.
- The selected girl students must have taken admission in the first year degree course of the academic year 2025-26 in accredited institutions (NAAC/NIRF accredited colleges).
- Only in recognized institutions for professional courses like Engineering, MBBS, Integrated LLB (5 years), Integrated BS-MS/BS-Research (IISER/IISC Bangalore) or Design, Architecture etc.
This opportunity is not available to children of employees of Kotak Mahindra Group, Kotak Education Foundation or Buddy4Study.
How much money will be given?
Under the Kotak Kanya Scholarship 2025–26, each selected student will be given a scholarship of Rs. 1.5 lakh (one lakh fifty thousand)* per annum.
This money can be withdrawn every year by the girl students till the completion of their full professional degree course.

- Books, stationery, laptop purchase
- Internet fees
- Travel expenses to and from college
- Other educational expenses
Note: The selection of the scholarship and the amount of money will be final only after fulfilling the eligibility criteria and the rules of Kotak Education Foundation.

- 12th class mark sheet copy
- Parent’s income certificate or ITR (if applicable)
- College admission letter or seat allocation document
- Lage’s bonafide certificate
- Entrance exam result letter (if applicable)
- Parent’s bank passbook copy
- Aadhaar card
- Sport size photograph
- House photographs
- Disability certificate (for disabled candidates)
- Death certificate of one parent (for single parent/orphan)

- Click on the ‘Start Application’ button.
- Fill in the details in the online form.
- Upload the required documents.
- Accept the ‘Terms & Conditions’ and see the ‘Preview’.
- If all the details are correct, click on ‘Submit’.
