The Women and Child Development Department (WCD) of Karnataka has issued a notification for 2,500 posts, applications have been invited for 1000 posts of Anganwadi workers and 1500 posts of helpers.
Qualifications for Anganwadi workers and assistant workers:
Candidates applying for the post of Anganwadi worker must have passed 12th class. Women applying for the post of assistant must have passed 10th class. Apart from this, candidates who have done additional courses related to child development are also eligible here.
Age limit: The minimum age of candidates applying for both the posts is 18 years and maximum is 35 years. There is a relaxation of three years for OBC candidates. Further, SCST candidates are given a relaxation of 5 years and PWD candidates are given a relaxation of 10 years.
Salary: Anganwadi workers get a salary of 10 to 15 thousand rupees per month. The government pays a salary of 7 thousand to 10 thousand rupees per month to Anganwadi helpers.
Recruitment: Candidates will be recruited on the basis of merit. If necessary, an examination will be held, interviews and documents will be checked and candidates will be recruited. The selection process will be done as per the rules of the respective district.

Last date for submitting applications: Application filling has started from May 16 and candidates have the opportunity to apply till June 15.
