Applications are invited from BBMP to get an electric two-wheeler and a free sewing machine. The last date for submitting applications is May 2, 2025.
Information regarding this has been given in a press release by the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike, inviting applications for various welfare programs for the year 2024-25.
It said that one can apply for an electric two-wheeler and a free sewing machine.
Street vendors will be provided financial assistance to purchase an e-vending vehicle. It said that subsidy will be provided to purchase a manual vending vehicle and an electrical e-vending vehicle.
The maximum amount of an e-vending vehicle will be Rs. 1,50,000. Out of this, 90% will be BBMP subsidy, while street vendors who are willing to provide 10% capital can apply to purchase an e-vending vehicle.
What types of vehicles will be subsidized?
BBMP will provide financial assistance for the purchase of manual vending vehicles
Electrical e-vending vehicles
Vegetable e-vending vehicles, flower selling e-vending vehicles, ice cream e-vending vehicles, fruits e-vending vehicles, fruit juice e-vending vehicles, panipuri and chaats e-vending vehicles, fast food e-vending vehicles, clothing e-vending vehicles and other e-vending vehicles.

- Age proof certificate

- Annual income certificate and caste certificate
- Certificate from the concerned department regarding third gender
- Copy of bank passbook
