The scheme is a fully subsidized scheme to provide water to small and micro farmers belonging to the minority category living in rural areas by drilling bore wells, pump motors and electrification.
For individual tube well project, the government will allocate Rs.3.75 lakhs for 1. Bangalore Rural 2. Kolar 3. Chikkaballapur 4. Ramanagara 5. Tumkur districts and Rs.2.25 lakhs for other districts.
Eligibility:
- Applicants must belong to a religious minority community as defined in a government order.
- Each beneficiary should have 1 acre 20 gunte (1 acre 50 cents) to 5 acres of dry land, in districts like Kodagu, Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Uttara Kannada, Chikkamagaluru, Shimoga and Hassan the availability of land is very less so at least 1 acre of land should be given.
- Applicants should be permanent residents of Karnataka state.
- Applicants should be small / very small tenant farmers.
- Family income from all sources should not exceed Rs.6.00 lakh.
- Applicant’s age should be at least 18 years. Maximum age limit of 55 years for applicants has been abolished
