Indian Postal Dept GDS Vacancy 2025: Indian Postal Dept has now released a great job notification for SSLC passers. A total of 21,413 GDS posts have been invited to apply for the January edition of the current round of recruitment. Applications can be submitted till March 03. See below for more details. Indian Postal Department has issued recruitment notification for filling up total 21413 Gramin Dak Sevak Posts in January 2025 edition. Online applications are invited from eligible and interested candidates for the posts of Branch Postmaster, Assistant Branch Postmaster and Doc Sevak. Candidates who have just passed SSLC can apply for these posts which are selected on the basis of merit without conducting any examination and can get central government jobs.
The salary range for Gramin Dak Sevak posts will start from a minimum of Rs10,000-29,380. Those who are interested in these posts apply by knowing the details below.
Post wise salary details
- Branch Postmaster (BPM) : Rs.12,000-29,380.
- Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM) : Rs.10,000-24,470.
- Doc Sevak : Rs.10,000-24,470.
Eligibility to apply for Postal Department Posts
- Must have passed SSLC / 10th Class.
- Should be able to read, write and speak the official language of the respective state.
- Job aspirants of Karnataka state must know how to read, write and speak the official language Kannada.
- Besides, having basic computer knowledge and having certificate will be given preference.
Age Qualifications for Postal Department Posts
- The candidate must be at least 18 years of age as on the last date of application.
- Maximum age should not exceed 40 years
- There is 5 years age relaxation for Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes.
- There is 3 years age relaxation for economically backward category.
What is the GDS / Postman Recruitment Procedure?
Candidates will be automatically merit list prepared as per the rules, original documents will be verified for the short listed candidates and the recruitment short list will be released.
If the candidates in the first merit list do not report for the post, again the 2nd merit list will be published, they will be called for document verification and will be selected.
