Model question paper has been released for the convenience of the students regarding the 2nd PUC Annual Examination 2025.
Information about this has been shared by the Karnataka Board of School Examination and Valuation in a press release, the model question papers of PUC 2024-25 of all subjects prepared by lecturers teaching pre-graduation syllabus on the board’s website https://dpue-exam.karnataka.gov.in/ModelQp2025/frmkmpdamodelpapers It said that it has been uploaded.
Still earlier the written exam had to answer questions of 100 marks question papers. Due to this, 3 hours and 15 minutes time was given. But now the question paper of 70 to 80 marks has to be answered. In this background the test duration is limited to 3 hrs. During this period, if students are given 15 minutes to read the question paper, they will have 2 hours and 45 minutes to answer the questions in writing.
On the examination days, the examination will be conducted in the morning session from 10 am to 1 pm and in the afternoon session from 2 pm to 5 pm.
In each subject question paper, multiple choice questions are given for 50% of the maximum marks to be answered by the students. In subjects with practical test (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Electronics, Computer Science, Home Science) the maximum marks of the question papers are 70 and the question paper contains questions of 105 marks including multiple choice questions. Each model question paper has a separate blue print and these blueprints are limited to the given model question papers only. The blueprint is different for different question papers of the same subject.
Uniformity has been brought by assigning specific marks for teaching hour wise and cognitive level wise weightage while preparing the question paper in each subject.
The allocation of chapter wise marks in each subject is fixed on the basis of the teaching period allotted to the respective chapters. The question papers are prepared so that the marks fixed do not vary.
While preparing the question paper, there is an opportunity to ask new questions in the textbook and in the question banks (Question Bank), along with the questions given chapter wise, and the concept of the questions should be taken care of in the text. Questions should not be created out of syllabus for any reason.
There is an option to form questions by replacing Alpha-Numerical Values ββin the text.
HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skills) questions can be chosen from any chapter in the syllabus and asked in any section of the question paper.
