There is good news for pregnant women, applications are invited from the beneficiaries under Matruvandana Yojana of Central Government.
A registration campaign has been launched by pregnant women in their first delivery and women who have given birth to a girl child in their second delivery to get the benefit of Pradhan Mantri Matruvandana Yojana, one of the central sponsored schemes of the Department of Women and Child Development.
These documents are mandatory to apply for Matruvandana Yojana
Application filled in the prescribed form for registration, copy of mother’s card and child’s vaccination details, beneficiary’s Aadhaar card, beneficiary’s bank account Aadhaar card must be attached compulsorily. Ration Card, Caste and Income Certificate, NREGA Card, E-Shram Card, Ayushman Card (if any) should be submitted.
Partial compensation for loss of wages in the form of incentives to improve the health of pregnant and lactating women for adequate rest during and after the first delivery of the woman.
For the first child in two installments of Rs. 5000, second child (being a girl child) Rs. 6000 will be given. Except for government employees and employees of public enterprises, women who are pregnant with their first delivery and their second baby girl can avail this facility.
In this regard, the Deputy Director of Women and Child Development Department said that you can apply at the Child Development Planning Office and your nearest Anganwadi Center.
