Guarantee Scheme of Karnataka

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah made a historic announcement that all the 5 guarantee schemes announced by the Congress party in the manifesto will be implemented in the current financial year itself.

He was addressing a press conference after the Cabinet meeting held regarding the implementation of five guarantee schemes.

Announcing 5 guarantee schemes during and before the assembly elections, I and the party president delivered the attested guarantee cards to every house in Kannada. Similarly, in the first cabinet meeting itself, the in-principle approval was given for the implementation of these projects, but in the special cabinet meeting held today, a decision was taken on the implementation of the projects after a long discussion.

He said that these schemes have been designed for all Kannadigas without any caste-religion-gender-language fence.

Following are the details of the decisions taken in the cabinet meeting regarding the implementation of Griha Jyoti, Grilahakshmi, Annabhagya, Shakti and Yuva Nidhi schemes announced by the government.

Griha Jyoti:

The Cabinet decided to provide free electricity up to 200 units as announced in the manifesto. Under this scheme, the percentage of the average electricity consumption of the user in the last 12 months. 10% free electricity will be provided. The scheme is applicable for electricity consumed from July 1. The user has to pay the bill related to the electricity consumption till then. Siddaramaiah announced that the beneficiaries of this scheme will not have to pay electricity bills from the month of August.

Griha Lakshmi:

2000 per month to the account of the owner of BPL and APL families in the state. The amount will be transferred. Women should apply to avail the facility of this scheme. It should declare who is the owner of the house; Bank account number, Aadhaar number information should be provided. Application will be allowed from June 15 to July 15. During the period from July 15 to August 15, the applications will be reviewed, the necessary software will be developed and the project will be launched on August 15, Independence Day.

Anna Bhagya:

The BJP government has reduced the 7 kg foodgrains given during their previous government to 5 kg. Now the quantity of food grains will be increased to 10 kg. This scheme will be implemented from July 1 as the ration distribution process for the month of June has started and food grains have to be purchased. Antyodaya card holders and BPL card holders will get this scheme facility.

Shakti:

All categories of women, including students, will be provided with free travel facility within the state in all buses except AC and luxury buses. This project will be launched from June 11. This scheme is Rs. It will be convenient for 94 percent women passengers.  Percentage of buses. 50% seats will be reserved for men.

Yuvanidhi:

This scheme is applicable to all types of graduates and diploma holders including professional courses in the academic year 2022-23. Rs 3000 per month for a period of 24 months for graduates who are not employed for at least 180 days after graduation. And 1500 rupees per month for diploma holders. Unemployment allowance will be given.  An application is required to get this facility and this facility will be provided to the gender minorities as well.
