Gruhalaksmi Yojana 2024

Grilahakshmi Yojana is the most ambitious scheme among the guaranteed schemes of the government. In order to increase the economic empowerment of women in the state, the Government is implementing the “Ghrilakshmi Yojana” which provides Rs.2000/- per month to the woman head of the family as per the Government order dated: 06-06-2023. The guidelines of the said scheme have been issued on date: 17-07-2023.

  • 2000/- to the account of registered eligible beneficiary by DBT. The transfer process has been started on Date:19.07.2023 and there is no last date for the registration process. Date: 30-08-2023 Fund is being disbursed to beneficiary account through DBT.
  • The eligible beneficiaries of the scheme are women who have been mentioned as the head of the family in Antyodaya, BPL and APL ration cards distributed by the Department of Food and Civil Supplies. 
  • The facility of Grilahakshmi Yojana to be extended to the gender minorities also will be ordered with administrative approval from the Government on Date:18-07-2023.

Those having the following criteria are not eligible under the Grilahakshmi Yojana.

i) If the head of the family or the husband of the head of the household is an Income Tax payer, he is not eligible for this scheme.                                             
ii) Household owner or owner’s husband is not eligible for this scheme if he is a filer of GST returns.

  • Free registration for this scheme will be provided through Karnataka One, Bangalore One, Gram One and Sewasindhu portal.
  • In the year 2023-24, a grant of Rs.17000.00 crore has been released under Grilakshmi Yojana and an expenditure of Rs.17000.00 crore has been paid.
  • A total grant of Rs.28608.40 crores has been allocated under the Grilahakshmi Yojana for the year 2024-25.
  • At present 1.25 crore beneficiaries have been successfully registered by the end of July-2024. Out of this, 9369532 other beneficiaries, 2263894 Scheduled Caste beneficiaries, and 883547 Scheduled Tribe beneficiaries are registered.
  • A total of 13 months of subsidy (Rs.2,000/- per month per beneficiary for a total of Rs.26,000/-) has been paid to all the eligible beneficiaries since inception under Grilahakshmi Yojana. For this a total expenditure of Rs.30295.89 crores has been paid so far.
  • Through the Centrally Awarded Women’s Helpline 181, telephone calls received from the public regarding the Grilahakshmi Yojana, an ambitious scheme of the State Government, are being received and appropriate solutions are being provided to the problems/complaints.
