No more queues for ration card e-KYC, good news for ration card holders, a new app has come to do e-KYC sitting at home

The government has given a great piece of good news to the ration card holders of the state. Now there is no need to stand in queues for hours in front of fair price shops to get your ration card e-KYC done. You can complete this process very easily by sitting at home using your mobile phone.

The launch of the app has taken another step towards the digital revolution.

Easy e-KYC through Anna Seva App

The Food Department has launched the Anna Seva App for the convenience of the beneficiaries. This app uses UIDAI’s face authentication technology, so people can complete their KYC by scanning their face instead of waiting for a fingerprint. This app is available for download through Google Play Store.

In the first phase, only people from these 8 districts will be allowed

In the first phase, only ration card holders from 8 districts of the state have been allowed to use this app. People from Bangalore Urban, Bangalore Rural, Udupi, Haveri, Uttara Kannada, Bellary, Bidar and Koppal districts can avail this facility right away. The department has said that beneficiaries from the remaining districts will be allowed to use this app in the second phase from October 10.

Important apps required for KYC

  • To complete KYC at home, consumers should have three important apps on their smartphones.
  • One is the CEG Face KYC app
  • Two are the Aadhaar Face RD app
  • Three are the Anna Seva app
  • By downloading all these three apps and filling in the information step by step, the e-KYC process can be successfully completed.
