With the objective of making the youth employable, the central government has launched Yogic Pradhan Mantri Internship Scheme. Age limit to apply:
The age of the candidate applying for this scheme should be between 21 to 24 years. Also, the candidate should not be in full-time employment, one should not be in full-time education, study. However, candidates studying through online or distance learning can also apply.
Who can apply?
High School and Higher Secondary pass students can apply for PM Internship Scheme 2024. Besides, candidates who have passed ITI, Polytechnic Diploma and BA, BSc, BCom, BCA, BBA and BPharm are also eligible for this. However, candidates with Masters, IIT, NIT, IIM, National Law University Graduates, MBA, CS, CA, MBBS and BDS degrees cannot apply for this scheme.
Internship Duration and Benefits
The duration of internship under this scheme is 12 months. The central government aims to provide 1.25 lakh internship opportunities in top 500 companies in the financial year 2024-25. One crore candidates will get internship opportunity under this scheme in five years. During the internship, candidates will be given a stipend of Rs 5,000 per month, which will provide financial assistance to the candidates.
How to apply?
To apply for PM Internship Scheme visit the official website of pminternship.mca.gov.in. Then click on ‘Register’ link, it will open a new page. Fill all the required registration details here and then click ‘Submit’.
The portal will prepare your resume based on the information provided by you. Now one has to apply for maximum five internship opportunities based on location, sector, functional role and qualification. Then finally click on ‘Submit’ and download the confirmation page. Keep a print out of it with you for future.
