KEA Recruitment 2026: Great good news for job seekers; Recruitment for 4,699 posts

Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has issued a preliminary notification for conducting competitive examinations for direct recruitment to a total of 4,699 vacant posts in technical and non-technical cadres in various departments of the state.

Candidates with graduation, PUC and diploma qualifications are allowed to apply in this massive recruitment process.

Vacancy Classification Details
The total vacancies in the recruitment have been divided into three major categories according to qualification and field of work.

Category-wise vacancies and reservation allocation
Degree level posts (Non-Technical – 2,421 posts):

The recruitment will be held in a total of 50 cadres including Accounts Assistants, Wardens, First Class Assistants (FDA) of various departments and Commercial Tax Inspectors.

Remaining Primary Cadre (RPC): 1,912 posts

Kalyana Karnataka Local Cadre (KK): 509 posts

PUC Level Posts (Non-Technical – 2,062 Posts):

Vacancies will be filled in 41 categories including Commercial Tax Department Second Grade Assistants (SDA), Gram Panchayat Secretaries and Junior Accounts Assistants.

Remaining Primary Cadre (RPC): 1,548 Posts

Kalyana Karnataka Local Cadre (KK): 514 Posts

Diploma Level Posts (Technical – 216 Posts):

Recruitment will be made in 8 major technical categories including Assistant Town Planners, Junior Engineer (Civil), Draftsman and Junior Engineer (Mining).

Remaining Primary Cadre (RPC): 185 posts

Kalyana Karnataka Local Cadre (KK): 31 posts

Exam Procedure and Dates
Detailed Notification:
An official notification with complete details will be published in September 2026 and the online application process will begin.

Competitive Examination: KEA has tentatively scheduled the written examinations to be conducted across the state in the months of November and December.

Examination Pattern:

There will be Paper-1 and Paper-2 examinations for non-technical posts (Degree and PUC level).

For technical posts, there will be Paper-1 along with a separate Paper-2 examination related to the relevant technical subject.

Details of age limit, examination fee and detailed syllabus will be released by KEA on its official website soon.
