For the recruitment of indea Post Staff Car Driver, 10th class qualification, light and heavy vehicle driving license and three years of driving experience are mandatory.
The Department of Posts has started the recruitment process for 11 staff car driver posts at the Mail Motor Service (MMS) in Bengaluru.
Eligible candidates can apply offline. The vacancies are being filled on deputation basis and applications will be accepted for 60 days from the date of publication of the advertisement in the job news.
Out of the total 11 posts, 10 posts are available in the Mail Motor Service, Bengaluru and one post is available in the Mysore Sub-Depot. The selected candidates will be appointed under the 7th Central Pay Commission Pay Scale-2. They will be paid a basic salary ranging from Rs. 19,900 to Rs. 63,200 per month along with other applicable government allowances.

Who can apply?
Candidates should have passed 10th class from a recognized board. Also, they should have a valid driving license for both light and heavy motor vehicles. At least three years of driving experience and basic mechanical knowledge required to carry out minor repairs of vehicles.
However, this recruitment is reserved for Central Government employees only. The recruitment will be done on deputation basis. Preference will be given to eligible employees of the Department of Posts including Dispatch Riders and Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS). In case suitable candidates are not available in the department, employees of other Central Government departments will also be considered.
Age Limit
The maximum age of the candidate should not exceed 56 years on the last date of application. The notification states that armed forces personnel who are about to retire or are going to be transferred to the reserve force within one year can also apply, provided they fulfill the eligibility conditions.
