Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) has announced the official recruitment notification for the recruitment of a total of 319 posts of Gazetted Probationer (Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’) for the year 2026-27. This is good news for the aspirants appearing for the competitive examination.

There are 117 posts in Group ‘A’ category and 202 posts in Group ‘B’ category. While Group ‘A’ has important posts including Assistant Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner of Commercial Taxes, ECO, Group ‘B’ has posts like Tahsildar, Commercial Tax Officer, Chief Officer etc. Out of the total posts, 297 are for the original cadre and 22 are for Hyderabad Karnataka.
When is the last date for submitting applications?
Eligible candidates can apply online from August 1 to August 31. The preliminary examination has been tentatively scheduled to be held on November 15.
The main examinations will be held from February 12 to 18, 2027, and the results of the mains examination will be declared on April 27. The interview will be held from May 10 to 31 and the provisional selection list will be published on June 5.
The application fee for candidates with general eligibility is Rs. 600. Rs 300 has been fixed for category 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B candidates and Rs 50 for ex-servicemen. Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Category-1 and Disabled candidates have been exempted from paying the fee. Eligible candidates are advised to apply through the KPSC official website in advance without waiting until the last date.
