The Department of Technical Education, Government of Karnataka, has launched the Diploma admission process for the academic year 2026-27 and has invited applications from eligible candidates for first semester admission. The complete information regarding this is as follows:
Eligibility for Application
Education: Must have passed SSLC or equivalent examination.
Minimum marks: Must have secured at least 35% marks in the examination.
How to Apply
Candidates can apply through the official websites of the department, dtek.karnataka.gov.in or dtetech.karnataka.gov.in/kartechnical.
Or they can also be obtained from the Principals of Government Polytechnics.
The registration fee is Rs. 50 for SC/ST and Category-1 candidates and Rs. 100 for others.
Required Documents
The following documents should be submitted after the SSLC result along with the filled application:
SSLC mark sheet attested by the school principal.
Original Transfer Certificate (TC).
06 recent passport size photographs.
Current caste and income certificate.
Kannada/Rural/Hyderabad-Karnataka certificate (if applicable).
Special group reservation certificates (NCC, Sports, Scouts and Guides etc.).
Points to note

The department has warned that if wrong information is given in the application, not only will the admission be cancelled, but legal action will be taken against the candidates.
