Post: Senior Executive Trainee (Finance)

· Number of Posts: 25
· Essential Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) or Cost and Management Accountant (CMA).

Common Requirements

· Nationality: Indian
· Age Limit (as of March 7, 2026): Minimum 21 years. Maximum 30 years for General/EWS/OBC (Creamy Layer) candidates. Age relaxation applies.
· Age Relaxation: OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): +3 years; SC/ST: +5 years; PwBD candidates: +10 to +15 years based on category.
· Application Fee: ₹2,500 (OC/OBC/EWS) or ₹1,250 (SC/ST/PwBD).

How to Apply

The application process is online only, and you cannot apply through the main BSNL website. Follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Official Portal: Visit the dedicated recruitment website: www.externalexam.bsnl.co.in.
  2. Register and Fill Form: Click the application link, register with your mobile and email, and fill in all details accurately.
  3. Upload Documents: You’ll need scanned copies of your photograph, signature, Class 10th certificate, degree/CA/CMA certificates, and category certificate (if applicable).
  4. Pay the Fee: Pay the application fee online using net banking, credit card, or debit card.
  5. Submit and Save: Review your application, submit it, and download the confirmation page for your records.

Selection Process & Other Details

· Selection Stages: The selection is based on a Computer-Based Test (CBT) followed by Document Verification and a Medical Examination.
· Exam Pattern (CBT): A single 180-minute paper with 200 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
· Part-I (Aptitude): 40 questions on Quantitative Ability, Reasoning, and Verbal Ability (40 marks).
· Part-II (Technical): 160 questions specific to your stream (Telecom or Finance) (160 marks).
· Marking Scheme: +1 for a correct answer, -0.25 for a wrong answer.
· Training & Service Bond: Selected candidates undergo a 2-year probation, including 52 weeks of training. They must also sign a service bond of ₹9 lakhs to serve BSNL for at least 5 years after training. Important Considerations Before Applying

· Check Minimum Qualifying Marks: To be shortlisted, you need to score above the minimum marks: 50% overall (40% in each part) for General category and 45% overall (35% in each part) for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/EWS categories.
· Prepare for the Edit Window: If you need to correct your form, use the official editing window from March 8-15. Do not wait until the last minute to apply.
