The Central Government has given the green signal for the recruitment of special teachers in the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) across the country. A total of 987 special teacher vacancies will be filled for the academic year 2026-27. KVS sources said that an official notification in this regard will be released soon.
The main objective of this recruitment is to provide better educational facilities to students with special needs.

Out of a total of 987 vacancies:
Special Educator (TGT): 493 vacancies.
Special Educator Primary Teacher (PRT): 494 vacancies.
The Union Ministry of Education has already approved these recruitments. These posts will be distributed as per the requirement in all Kendriya Vidyalayas across the country.
