Chitradurga: A huge job fair will be organized for youth job opportunities
Chitradurga, January 03: The district administration has given a very sweet news to the unemployed youth of Chitradurga district at the beginning of the new year. All preparations are underway to organize a huge ‘Udyog Mela’ to provide suitable job opportunities for the skilled youth and women in the district. This fair is not just a one-day event but aims to show a new way to the life of thousands of youth in the district.
Organization and Background of Job Fair:
This job fair is being conducted with the coordination of various departments. The program is organized in collaboration with Sanjeevini-Karnataka State Rural Livelihood Promotion Institute, Deen Dayal Upadhyay Rural Skill Scheme, Zilla Panchayat NRLM and District Skill Development Departments. All these organizations are coming together to recognize the talents of the district and provide them with a good platform.
CEO Dr.S.Akash, who presided over the meeting, said that various sub-committees have already been formed at the district level for the success of the fair. These committees are responsible for registration of employers, guidance of candidates and smooth running of the fair. He has given a strict instruction that the officials should be ready immediately and work hard for the success of the program.
Job Fair Date and Venue Details:
This Big Job Fair will be held on 30th January 2026 in the premises of Government Arts College (Autonomous) in the central part of Chitradurga city. Registration and interview process will start from 9 am. This place has been selected to facilitate the youth of the district and there is an organized campus where thousands of candidates can gather at the same time.
Who can attend this fair?:
This job fair is very diverse and offers opportunities to candidates with various educational backgrounds. Not only graduates but also those with technical and vocational education are given preference here.
· Candidates who have completed SSLC and PUC.
· Graduate or Post Graduate in any discipline.
· ITI and Diploma educated technical candidates.
· BE or B.Tech is such an engineering graduate.
· GTTC and other professional trainees.
Special invitation has been given to the beneficiaries of Karnataka Government Youth Fund Scheme to attend this fair. It is a good platform for youth who are getting unemployment allowance to secure their life by getting job through this fair.
Preparations Required for Job Fair:
Job seekers need to make some important preparations before coming to this fair. As many companies participate in the fair, candidates must have dozens of copies of their resumes or resumes.
· At least 10 copies of recent biography.
· Photocopies of all academic mark sheets.
· Recent passport size photographs.
· Aadhaar Card or Voter ID Card.
· Certificates of experience if any.
During the interview it is essential to speak confidently and demonstrate the skills that companies demand. For this, the District Skill Development Department is also likely to conduct some training workshops in advance.
Registration Process and Digital System:
A separate web link will be created for the registration of employers and job seekers, the district administration said. Through this candidates can sit at home and register their details in advance. This will avoid confusion on the day of the fair. It is decided to use social networking sites and college notice boards for wide publicity.
