The Social Welfare Department of the Government of Karnataka will provide 15 days of residential training on the use of drone equipment to Scheduled Caste (SC) candidates. Applications have been invited for the training for the year 2025-26 through the Indira Gandhi Career Development Centre.
Scheduled Caste candidates have been invited to apply for 15 days residential training for the use of drone equipment in Logistic Surveillance, Agriculture and various fields for Belgaum and Kalaburagi Revenue Divisions, Bangalore and Mysore Revenue Divisions separately.
Social Welfare Minister H.C. Mahadevappa has shared information about this. He has given details of the training period, training details, website address to apply and the last date for submitting applications. Scheduled Caste candidates will get 15 days residential training for the use of drone equipment separately in the limits of Belgaum and Kalaburagi Revenue Divisions known as North and Bangalore and Mysore Revenue Divisions known as South.
Qualifications
- Must be a resident of Karnataka State
- The age of the trainees should be minimum 18 years and maximum 45 years.
- Must have passed 10th class by the last date of application.
- Must have obtained caste and income certificate in the prescribed format by the last date of application.
- Annual income from all sources should not exceed Rs. 5 lakh.
First preference will be given to those who have not applied earlier. Interested candidates can apply through the website https://igccd.karnataka.gov.in. The last date for application is 20-09-2025, the notification said. The training department will be assigned according to the department chosen by the candidate during the application process.
The department has the power to change the training department of the candidate. The candidate must follow all the rules and regulations of the training. The training schedule must be maintained. If the rules of the training are not followed, the department has the power to disqualify such a candidate.
Any candidate who displays disobedience or misbehavior towards the training institute, faculty members or instructors will be disqualified immediately. The candidate must complete 15 days of training. Only in case of emergency, the candidate can go out of the training premises with the permission of the training institute and the department. It has been clarified that the department has the full power to conduct the examination and select the candidates based on its results.
