- Login with OTP – You will receive a one-time password (OTP) on your registered mobile number.
- Check authentication history – This section provides details of when and where your Aadhaar has been used.
- Check transactions – If you notice any unauthorized activity, take immediate action.
Ways to secure Aadhaar
- Lock/Unlock Aadhaar
UIDAI allows you to lock your Aadhaar to prevent unauthorized access to biometric data (fingerprints and iris scans).
Visit uidai.gov.in and log in to the ‘My Aadhaar’ section. Select the ‘Biometric Lock’ option. Enter the OTP and choose to lock/unlock your Aadhaar. - Use a Virtual ID (VID)
Instead of sharing your Aadhaar number frequently, generate a VID for secure transactions. Go to the UIDAI portal and click on ‘Generate VID’. Enter your Aadhaar number and receive your VID via OTP. This virtual ID can be updated at any time. - Manage Aadhaar services via SMS
