Applications have been invited for filling up a total of 3,047 apprentice posts across the country in the state-owned Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC).
Candidates who have completed 10th class, ITI, diploma and degree can apply as per their educational qualification. Those selected will be given a stipend ranging from ₹8,200 to ₹12,300 per month.
Recruitment for 3,047 posts
Under the ONGC Apprentice recruitment process, the posts will be filled in various centers across the country including Dehradun, Delhi, Jodhpur, Goa, Hazira, Mumbai, Uran, Panvel.
This recruitment process will be conducted under the Apprentice Act 1961. However, candidates should note one important point. This is an apprenticeship training program and should not be considered as a permanent government job recruitment.

Who can apply?
Candidates with 10th Class, ITI, Diploma and Graduation qualification can apply. However, educational qualifications vary according to the post and trade. Therefore, before applying, one should check the details of the posts related to their qualification in the official notification.
According to the notification, the age of the candidates should be between 18 and 24 years as on November 29, 2026.
- Age relaxation of 5 years for SC, ST candidates.
- Age relaxation of 3 years for OBC candidates.
- Age relaxation will be applicable for disabled candidates as per the rules.
Also, the candidates should be a resident of the relevant qualifying district or should have studied in that district.
How much stipend will be given per month?
Candidates selected for this apprenticeship training will be given a stipend ranging from ₹8,200 to ₹12,300 per month depending on their educational qualification and trade. The training period for all trades will be 12 months. Candidates who have completed apprenticeship training in the past and have one year or more work experience will not be eligible for this recruitment.
How will the selection process be done?
There is no written examination for ONGC Apprentice posts. The merit list will be prepared based on the marks secured by the candidates in their educational qualification.
