Bima Sakhi Scheme 2025: Under this scheme, women can get a stipend by becoming LIC agents. Here is an opportunity to earn more than 2 lakhs. Bima Sakhi Scheme has been jointly launched by the Central Government and Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC). This scheme aims to empower women financially. Under this scheme, women will be trained to become LIC agents. They can earn money by selling insurance products in rural or urban areas.

The main objective of the scheme is:

  • To make women financially independent
  • To increase insurance awareness in rural areas
  • To train more than 1 lakh insurance sakhis by 2025
  • To provide social and economic identity to women

Scholarship for women during training: Women will be given a stipend of ₹ 5000 to ₹ 7000 per month during the training. This amount will be transferred directly to their bank accounts.

Earnings from the very beginning: Women can sell insurance policies while undergoing training. They will get commission as they sell insurance policies. After completing the training, women will be given a Insurance Sakhi certificate and LIC agent code. This will allow them to work as authorized agents.

How to earn 2.16 lakhs? : A woman has to work actively under this scheme for three years. In that case, she will get a chance to earn up to ₹ 2.16 lakhs.

If the insurance partner performs well, in the future she will get a higher responsibility like development officer.

Who can apply? : Any woman between the ages of 18 to 70 can apply. The minimum qualification should be 10th class pass. LIC employees, agents or their close relatives are not eligible for this scheme.

How to apply? : Interested women can apply online. First visit the official website of LIC https://licindia.in. You have to upload the necessary documents there. This includes 10th class mark sheet, Aadhaar card / address proof, bank account details, passport size photograph. You can also apply by visiting the nearest LIC branch or CSC center or Panchayat office.

Selection Process: After submitting the application, your selection will be confirmed through SMS or email. You will then be called to the training center.
