The School Education Department has issued an order fixing the academic sessions and vacation periods for the 2025-26 academic year for government, aided and unaided primary and secondary schools following the state curriculum in the state.
In connection with the above matter, the activities of the year 2024-25 are coming to an end, and to start the activities of the next academic year 2025-26, it has been advised to start school from 29.05.2025 as usual for the necessary preparations in the said year. Accordingly, the annual academic action plan schedule has been fixed. Accordingly, in order to help implement uniform educational activities in all state curriculum government, aided and unaided primary and high schools of the state in the academic year 2025-26, the annual work plan has been fixed accordingly based on the total annual days, academic activity periods, duty days and holidays available, and it has been informed to implement and comply with it in all schools of the state curriculum.
Special Instructions:
A. Regarding the points to be handled at the end of the 2024-25 academic year
1) The evaluation of the assessment tests from class 1 to 9 should be completed, the results should be consolidated to 100% marks, the grades should be recorded as per the rules and the results should be registered in SATS by date: 07-04-2025 for primary schools and by date: 08-04-2025 for high schools.
2) The results of the remaining classes 1 to 9 including the SA-2 evaluation of classes 5, 8 and 9 should be analyzed as per the rules and the second community-based school/parents’ meeting should be called and announced on date: 08.04.2025 at the primary school level and on date 09.04.2025 at the high school level as scheduled.
3) On date: 14-04-2025, Dr.|| B.R. Ambedkar’s Jayanti should be celebrated with good preparation by the headmasters, assistant teachers in all primary and secondary schools, as well as the relevant management boards in SDMC/private schools, and children.
4) The dates specified for school-wise local holidays will be approved by the field education officers in advance in the first week of June-2025. Local holidays will be granted only on the approved dates.
5) For the year 2025-26, 02 sets of free uniforms and textbooks will be provided to all children of classes 1 to 10 of government schools and 02 sets of textbooks for private schools will be provided to the children through the headmasters of the concerned schools as soon as the textbooks are supplied to the concerned taluks.
6) As summer vacation has been declared for schools from 11-04-2025 to 28-05-2025, school principals are requested to keep school inventory and documents and midday meal materials under Akshara Dasoha program safely stored and to act as per the instructions given by the concerned directorate regarding providing hot meals to children during the vacation period in drought-affected taluks. If the concerned authority requests to use schools as polling stations for official election work during this period, cooperation is advised.
