Ration card e-KYC is mandatory – here is the complete details of the information you need

All those with ration cards valid till 2025 should immediately do e-KYC. Otherwise, there is a possibility that the government will cancel the free ration facility being provided to you.

What is e-KYC?

This is an electronic KYC process, which means you have to verify your details on a government portal through your Aadhaar card.

If this is done, the government will get an accurate list of beneficiaries.

Why is e-KYC mandatory?

Recently, many people are getting ration based on old documents or fake details. This is causing losses to the government. To avoid this, the government has made e-KYC mandatory so that only the truly poor get the facility.

What should you do?

  1. Check whether you have e-KYC or not.

Go to the official website of the Food and Civil Supplies Department.

Enter your ration card details and check the status.

  1. If you have not done e-KYC yet?

Immediately go to the nearest Annabhagya Kendra / Ration Shop / Gram Panchayat / Food Department office.

Take your Aadhaar card and ration card.

Your e-KYC process will be completed there.

How to check online?

  1. Go to the following website:

ahara.kar.nic.in

  1. Select the option e-KYC Status Check.
  2. Enter your ration card number and check your status.

Please note:

The e-KYC process is accurate and free of cost.

If you have more than one card, clarify it immediately.

If you do not have e-KYC, your ration card may be cancelled.

This new rule of the government has been brought to benefit all poor families. Do not miss this facility in any way. Do your e-KYC immediately and be eligible to get free ration.
