Is your Date of Birth wrong in Pan Card? Change it online!

It goes without saying how important Pan Cared is these days. From government job to financial transactions, it is indispensable. However, if your date of birth is wrong in the PAN card, many problems will arise.

Tax and financial records need to be updated quickly to be accurate. This process can be completed online. See here for complete information about it.

How to update online?

  • First visit any official website. Protein E-Gauve Technologies Limited (NSDL) link ( https://www.onlineservices.nsdl.com/paam/endUserRegisterContact.html ); Or visit UTI Infrastructure Technology and Services Limited (UTIITSL) portal ( https://www.pan.utiitsl.com/csf.html ).
  • The website will have an option for “Change/Correction in Existing PAN Data/Reprint of PAN Card”. Apart from your date of birth, other details can also be updated through this option.
  • Online application form has to be filled for this. Enter your full name, date of birth, contact details and your current PAN number. The box next to “Date of Birth” should be ticked. That date of birth can be updated.
  • Further supporting documents should be uploaded. A birth certificate, passport or government-issued identity card as proof of date of birth (date of birth must be clearly visible); Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, Passport Mark, Address Proof can be uploaded.
  • Then select the submission mode. If your Aadhaar number is linked to mobile number, e-KYC and e-sign (paperless) mode is easy. An OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number where the application can be verified. Although manually. Application form can be downloaded. Fill and send to respective address along with necessary documents.
  • Processing fee payable thereafter, Rs.110 (inclusive of tax) for change of Indian address; For foreign address change, if additional remittance charges of Rs.1,020 are added, the total will be Rs.1,130. Payment can be made through online payment gateway through Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking or UPI. To know the status of your application click on the link https://www.onlineservices.nsdl.com/paam/endUserRegisterContact.html and select “No Status of PAN Application”.

  • After the application process is completed and approved, a new PAN card will be issued with the correct date of birth. It takes about 15 days. The PAN card will come by post to your registered address.
