What is an employee plan?

Government of Karnataka has launched many welfare schemes to help the unemployed to become self-employed and self-reliant.

In 2015-2016, the Government of Karnataka launched Yojjani Scheme specifically for women in the state.

Yojani Yojana is a self-employment activity support scheme for women in Karnataka.

The main objective behind starting Yojani Yojana in Karnataka is to encourage women to start their own business or income generating activity and prevent them from borrowing money from moneylenders at high interest rates.

Karnataka State Women Development Corporation is the implementing agency of this project.

Eligible women beneficiaries will be given interest-free and collateral-free business loans to start their own businesses under the Karnataka Yojani Yojana.

Women beneficiaries can take a maximum loan of Rs.3,00,000 under Yojani Yojana to start their own business.

The Government of Karnataka also provides subsidy on loans taken under Yojjani Yojana. Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe beneficiaries will be given 50% subsidy on the loan amount. However, 30% subsidy on the loan amount will be given to the beneficiaries belonging to special and general category.

The annual income limit for SC/ST category beneficiaries is Rs 2,00,000/- and the annual income limit for general and special category beneficiaries is Rs 1,50,000/- per annum.

There is no annual income limit for widow and disabled women beneficiary.

Only female beneficiaries in the age group of 18 to 55 years are eligible to apply for business loan and avail the benefit of subsidy on loan under Karnataka Yojani Yojana.

EDP ​​training for 3 days to 6 days will also be imparted to all the selected beneficiaries before disbursement of loan amount under the Yojanani scheme.

Eligible women beneficiaries of Karnataka can apply for Yojana Yojana through the application form and get the benefit of interest and collateral free business loan.

Benefits of the scheme

  • A female beneficiary can get a maximum of Rs. 3,00,000/- can take business loan.
  • Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe beneficiaries will be given subsidy of 50% of the loan amount.
  • 30% subsidy of loan amount will be given to special / general category beneficiaries.

Eligibility

Government of Karnataka lays down the following eligibility conditions for providing subsidized loan under Yojani Yojana to women beneficiaries:-

  • The female beneficiary should be a permanent resident of Karnataka.
  • Age of female beneficiary should be between 18 to 55 years.
  • Business unit cost for all applicants is Rs. 1,00,000/- to Rs. 3,00,000/- should be upto.
  • Annual income of Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe women beneficiaries should be less than Rs.2,00,000/-.
  • Annual income of general/special category women beneficiaries should be less than Rs.1,50,000/-.
  • There is no income limit for widow or disabled woman beneficiary.

Documents required

Following is the list of documents to be attached along with the application form while applying for Karnataka Yojana Yojana:-

  • Applicant’s Aadhaar Card.
  • Birth Certificate
  • Address and Income Proof.
  • BPL Card and Ration Card. (For those below poverty line)
  • Caste certificate. (if applicable)
  • Bank account details.
  • mobile no.
  • Any other document required by Bank / NBFC.

How to apply?

  • Eligible women beneficiaries can apply for Karnataka Government Yojana Yojana by filling the application form.
  • Karnataka Yojana Yojana application form is available free of charge at District Office of Karnataka State Women’s Development Corporation.
  • Collect the employee scheme application form and fill it carefully.
  • Attach all the required documents along with the application form.
  • Submit the Karnataka Yojana Yojana application form along with all documents at the same district office of the Karnataka State Women’s Development Corporation.
  • The loan amount provided under the Karnataka Yojjani Yojana will be directly transferred to the bank account of the women beneficiary.
  • The subsidy on the loan is paid by the Government of Karnataka directly to the concerned bank.
  • 3 to 6 days of EDP training will be given to the female beneficiary before the loan amount is released in Yojjani Yojana.
