The last minute preparation for State Teacher Eligibility Test should be done here.
The Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) is confirmed to be held on as already announced by the Public Education Department. The admit card has already been provided on the website of the department and the department has suggested that the candidates who have applied should download it and appear for the exam.
Only five days left for the exam. Here are some tips for last minute preparation candidates.
Exam will be tough: You may know that only 30,274 (12.62 percent) qualified in Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) 2018. A total of 2,60,073 candidates had registered for the Paper-1 (Class 1 to 5 teachers) exam that year, including 87,166 candidates and 1,72,907 candidates for the Paper-2 (Class 6 to 8) exam. A total of 2,39,863 people appeared for the first paper examination including 79,280 and 1,60,583 for the second paper.
In the 2016 exam also (TET was not held in 2017) the result was poor. 7.69 percent in first paper (1 to 5) and only percent in second paper (6 to 8). 3.65 candidates were qualified. That means 11.34 percent of the candidates were qualified in both the papers.
Why we are remembering this information during the exam is to remind you again that the exam is going to be tough. If you do not prepare properly for the exam, it may be difficult to get the expected result. So, if you take this exam seriously and prepare properly in the rest of the time, you will be able to participate in the upcoming recruitment process of ten thousand teachers.
Make the goal clear
As you already know this exam will be objective type. So the candidates facing the exams have a clear goal while practicing
Comprehension of the questions correctly To succeed in the objective pattern exam, one should pay more attention to the correct comprehension of the questions. If there is difficulty in understanding the question, then the wrong answer may be identified. So while reading the question read each word carefully, underline the words that connect from one topic to another, read the question again and check the answer after making sure that you have understood it correctly. When there are multiple choices in an answer, do not read all the options and mark the correct one. Because the exact answer may be different than what you think.
Learn time management
The challenge in objective type test is that the correct answer has to be identified in a short period of time. So know the right time management strategy in this last period of exam preparation. As you already know there are 150 questions in each exam carrying 150 marks and you are given 2 hours 30 minutes to answer them. That means the time will be 150 minutes. If 150 questions are to be answered in 150 minutes, the time given to answer one question is only one minute. No matter how difficult the question is, you should be able to identify the correct answer within a minute.
One thing you need to remember here is that extra time is not given to mark your answer on the OMR sheet. You have to fill the OMR sheet during the exam itself.
Do this in the exam
- Once you get the question paper, set aside some time to observe all the questions. Answer the questions you know the correct answer first.
- When there are multiple choices, use the trick of identifying the correct answer, striking out wrong answers if there is confusion.
- Don’t waste time searching for answers to any question by insisting that you will answer all the questions.
- Learn timing by practicing with old question papers. Follow it during exam.
