The police department is going to recruit a total of 2400 new personnel in the KSRP battalion. The government has given a green signal and issued an order. Karnataka State Government has just given a great good news to the unemployed and police department job aspirants of the state who have obtained SSLC or equivalent qualification. Barobari has ordered the police department for the recruitment of 2400 KSRP constable posts.
ADGP Umesh Kumar has informed that the state government has given green signal for starting 2 new battalions in the armed reserve force of police department, 100 acres near Devanahalli and 50 acres near KGF have been identified and reserved.
Umesh Kumar, ADGP of KSRP division, had submitted a proposal to the state government to start Indian Battalions (IRBs) in the KSAP force. The government has given green signal to this proposal. At present there are 12 KSRP and 2 IRB battalions. But there was a need for more battalions to deal with emergency situations including security and natural calamities in the state. In this background, ADGP Umesh Kumar has informed that the government has agreed to the proposal submitted for the preparation of new battalions and has written a state letter.
Notification when? Where does the application process begin?
At present, the government has ordered the appointment and a draft notification has to be prepared for these posts regarding reservation, group, rules. After receiving objections to it and issuing the final notification, the acceptance of applications will be started. However this process takes 1-2 months.
Educational Qualification and Age Qualification for KSRP Constable Posts
Candidates who have passed SSLC or 10th class or equivalent qualification can apply.
Must be at least 18 years of age as on the last date fixed for receipt of application.
Upper age limit is 25 years for General category candidates, 27 years for SC / ST / Backward Classes candidates.
So far 64 personnel have been promoted from ASI to PSI, 16 from PSI to PI, PC to HC (224), HC to ASI (184), thus total 488 personnel have been promoted. Eligible persons who have worked in the department for 3 decades without delay are now eligible for promotion.
10 posts of Deputy Commandant
The government has also approved the proposal to create 10 new Deputy Commandant posts in KSRP. Information has come out that ADGP has appointed the officers for these posts on the basis of seniority.
