PM scholarship 2024: Rs 30-36 thousand scholarship for students, Apply for Prime Minister’s Scholarship

There are many scholarships available in India, but many students do not apply for such scholarships due to lack of information. There is a special Prime Minister’s Scholarship scheme for students pursuing vocational and technical courses.

Few days left to apply for this scholarship. Students enrolled in full-time vocational and technical courses in the academic year 2024-25 can apply for this scholarship. Under this scheme, a scholarship of Rs 30,000 will be given to selected male students and Rs 36,000 to female students.

Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for the scholarship under the Prime Minister’s Scholarship Scheme. Notification for Pradhan Mantri Scholarship Scheme given by Central Military Board has been issued. Under this scheme, scholarships will be awarded to eligible candidates studying vocational and technical courses. Interested candidates can apply by November 30. Students admitted to full-time vocational and technical courses in the academic year 2024-25 will be awarded scholarships under the Pradhan Mantri Scholarship Scheme. 30,000 per year for selected boys and 36,000 per year for girls. Applications are to be submitted on the website of the Central Military Council.

Step by step guide to apply

  • Step 1: First visit the website www.ksb.gov.in. The last date to apply is November 30. It is better to apply early rather than waiting till then.
  • Step 2: Prepare all the documents and information to be uploaded beforehand. I.e., Photograph, PPO Number, Bank Account Number (SBI/PNB), ESM I/ Card Number, Aadhaar Number, Mobile Number, Email ID, Date of Birth, Course Joining Date, Bank Account Details (Branch Name, IFSC Code etc.).
  • Step 3: Fill the online application form. Upload scanned copies of required documents.
  • Step 4: Click Save and Forward. If you do not save and press the forward button, the application will not be submitted. Remains as a draft on the dashboard. So, be careful at this point. Click on save and forward to complete the application.

Who can apply?

Children/widows of ex-servicemen can apply. A total of 5500 children/widows of ex-servicemen will be selected for the scholarship every academic year. Every year 2750 candidates are selected for this scheme, 2750 for boys and girls separately. Only students pursuing full-time courses of 2-5 years duration from government-recognised institutions can apply.
