How to add name to new voter id, how to change address in voter card?

As per the instructions of the Election Commission of India, special revision process of voter list is going on in Karnataka. Now (01.01.2025) special and brief revision of voter lists is in progress. By-elections are going on for three assembly constituencies in the state.

Special Brief Revision of Electoral Roll 2025: Except these constituencies, this process is going on. Assembly constituencies voters list has already been published on the official website https://ceo.karnataka.gov.in. It will also be available in PDF format. Here you can check whether your name is included in the voter list or not.

New Voter ID: Anyone above 18 years of age can apply for Voter ID. Here is the details of how to add name to new voter id, what is required to make voter id.

b) Mode of submission of applications: You have to submit applications along with necessary documents in specific form(s) to the Electoral Registration Officer or Assistant Electoral Registration Officers of all Assembly constituencies of the state.

Which application should be submitted for voter ID card?

i. Form 6: Application Form for Enrollment of New Voters (Sample)

ii Form 6A : Application for Inclusion of Name in Electoral Roll by Overseas Indian (NRI) Voter.

iii Form 7: Application for Objection to Addition / Deletion of Name in Existing Electoral Roll

iv.Form 8: This application can be submitted for various matters including change of residence / specific amendment in existing voter list/substitution of EPIC.

All these forms of application can be submitted online using Voter Service Portal (https://voters.eci.gov.in/) or Voter Helpline Mobile App.

Not so in these three assembly constituencies

By-elections are going on in Shiggamvi, Sandur and Channapatna assembly constituencies. Thus, in these three assembly constituencies, brief revision of voter list is not being done now. After the completion of the by-election process in these three constituencies, the commission will announce the revised schedule. After that the brief revision of the electoral roll of these assembly constituencies will begin.

As directed by the Election Commission of India, a special brief revision of electoral rolls of 221 assembly constituencies of Karnataka is underway. Its schedule details are as follows.

Publish the draft list of voters

(October 29) the draft voter list was published

From October 29 to November 28, you can file an objection against any omission in the voter list.

Review of claims and objections will be held on December 24.

Next year i.e., the final voter list will be published on January 6, 2025.
