The state government has given good news to teaching post aspirants. The Department of School Education and Literacy of the Government of Karnataka has announced an important decision regarding the recruitment of 15,000 teachers in government primary and secondary schools in the state.
The deadline for submitting online applications for the 2026-27 teacher posts has been extended, giving job seekers more time.
Recruitment process for 15,000 teachers
Applications have been invited from eligible candidates for filling up about 15,000 vacant teacher posts in government primary and secondary schools in the state. As per the earlier schedule, the last date for submitting online applications was October 26, 2026.
For the convenience of the candidates, the last date for submission of applications has been postponed and the period has been extended from 26.10.2026 to 16.11.2026. In this regard, the Deputy Secretary (Administration) to the Government of the School Education Department, B.N. Anand has given permission through an official letter. Eligible and interested candidates can apply through the official website within the specified new deadline.
