The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released a short recruitment notification (CEN No. 02/2026) for filling a total of 6,565 Technician (Technician) vacancies in various railway zones across the country.

Technician Grade I Signal: 323 vacancies
Technician Grade III: 6,242 vacancies
Educational Qualification:
Technician Grade I Signal: B.Sc. in Physics, Electronics, Computer Science, Information Technology (IT), Instrumentation or Engineering Degree/Diploma in related technology from a recognized University or Institution.
Technician Grade-III: Must have passed SSLC (10th class) and should have ITI or Apprenticeship Certificate in the relevant trade from an NCVT/SCVT recognized institution.

Selection Process:
Candidates will be selected through a total of three stages:
Computer Based Test (CBT)
Document Verification
Medical Examination
Exam Pattern (CBT Exam Pattern):
The exam will consist of 100 multiple choice objective (MCQ) questions for a total of 100 marks.
The time limit for writing the exam is 90 minutes.
There will be negative marking in the exam and 1/3 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
