Railway Recruitment Board has released a short notification for RRB Technician Recruitment 2026 under CEN 02/2026.
Applications are invited for filling up 6,565 vacant posts of Technician Grade I Signal and Technician Grade III in various railway zones of India.
Interested and eligible candidates can apply through the official portal rrbapply.gov.in from June 30. The online application process will continue till July 29.
RRB Technician Recruitment 2026 Vacancy Details
The Railway Recruitment Board has issued a notification for the recruitment of 323 Technician Grade I Signal posts and 6,242 Technician Grade III posts out of 6,565 vacancies.
Most of the vacancies are available in Central Railway Mumbai, Southern Railway Chennai, Northern Railway New Delhi and North East Frontier Railway. Candidates can apply from any part of the country as the job location is in different railway zones of India.
The Railways will release a detailed notification on June 29, which will include complete eligibility, exam pattern, fee details and reservation rules.
Who can apply for RRB Technician Recruitment 2026?
Candidates who are interested in applying for RRB Technician Recruitment 2026 should have SSLC completed certificate along with ITI certificate from a recognized NCVT or SCVT institute.
For Technician Grade I Signal posts, candidates with diploma or degree in engineering disciplines can apply.
The minimum age limit for the Technician Grade I post is 18 years and maximum age limit is 33 years. For Technician Grade III, the maximum age limit is 30 years. There will be differences in age for reservation and differently-abled candidates.
