The Election Commission of India has released a new and revised schedule for the ‘Special Intensive Revision (SIR)’ process being carried out in Karnataka with 01.10.2026 as the eligibility date.
The Commission has issued an official order to the Chief Electoral Officers of Karnataka on 07.08.2026, and the details of the new schedule are as follows:
New schedule for revision of voters’ list:
- Door-to-door visit by BLOs: June 30, 2026 to August 17, 2026.
- Reconstruction/adjustment of polling stations: August 17, 2026.
- Publication of draft electoral roll: August 24, 2026.
- Period for submission of objections and claims: August 24, 2026 to September 23, 2026.
- Scrutiny and disposal of objections: August 24, 2026 to October 22, 2026.
- Publication of final electoral roll: October 27, 2026.
The Commission has instructed all concerned authorities, political parties and the media to disseminate appropriate information to the public regarding this revised schedule.
