The Revenue Department has given good news to the youth of Karnataka who were looking forward to getting a job. The Finance Department has given the green signal to fill 572 vacant Village Administrative Officer (VAO) posts in the department through direct recruitment.
The Revenue Department has already released the official list of posts to be filled district-wise in this regard. After thoroughly reviewing the posts sanctioned to various districts and the current vacancies, a total of 572 posts have been considered for this recruitment process as per the roster points and reservation rules.
District-wise distribution of posts:
In this recruitment, Tumkur and Mandya districts have been given the highest number of posts, while Raichur district has been allotted the lowest number of posts. According to the published list, 50 posts each have been allotted to Tumkur and Mandya districts. The rest are 48 for Belgaum, 45 for Mysore, 37 for Dakshina Kannada, 35 each for Hassan and Kalaburagi, 31 for Chamarajanagar, 30 for Bangalore South (in Ramanagara) and 29 for Bangalore Rural district.
Information on vacancies in other districts:
If we look at the details of the remaining districts, 22 posts have been given to Kolar, 21 to Chikkaballapur, 20 to Bangalore City, 18 to Shivamogga, 16 posts each to Bagalkot and Bidar districts. 15 posts each to Chitradurga and Haveri districts, 14 to Gadag and 10 posts each to Udupi and Chikkamagaluru districts are currently being considered for the recruitment process. The lowest in this list is Raichur district, where only 5 posts have been given.
Government instructions to speed up the recruitment process:
Regarding the filling up of these vacant posts under the direct recruitment quota as soon as possible, the Additional Chief Secretary of the Revenue Department has given strict instructions to all the District Collectors to fill the proposal containing the revised roster points and reservation details in the prescribed ‘Form-6’ and submit it to the government immediately. As soon as this information is submitted by the District Collector, the official full notification regarding the recruitment of these 572 VAO posts will be released in the coming days.
