State Bank of India (SBI) has given great good news to job seekers who want to start a career in the banking sector. It has issued an official notification to fill a total of 7,150 apprentice vacancies across the country and has invited applications from eligible candidates.

Special Preference for Candidates from Karnataka
Out of a total of 7,150 posts, 276 posts are available in various districts of Karnataka. Notably, applicants from Karnataka should be able to read, write and speak in the local language Kannada. This will provide more advantage to graduates from the state.
Eligibility and Age Limit Details
Candidates who have completed a degree from any recognized university can apply for these posts. The minimum age of the applicant should be 20 years and the maximum age should be 28 years. As per government rules, age relaxation has been given to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, OBC and Divyang candidates.
Application Fee and Important Dates
The opportunity to apply for this recruitment process has already been opened from May 19. Interested candidates have to submit their applications online by June 8. The application fee for General Category, OBC and EWS candidates is Rs 300. There is no application fee for SC, ST and PWD candidates.
What is the selection process?
First, a written test will be conducted online for the candidates who have applied. Those who pass this will be given a local language proficiency test. The candidate will be selected considering their communication skills and educational qualifications.
